Terms of Service
Last updated: July 17, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Qurbo's websites and services, including www.qurbo.ai, app.qurbo.ai, Qurbo-operated short-link and redirect domains, and related APIs and services (the "Service").
The Service is provided by Qurbo Pte. Ltd. ("Qurbo," "we," "us"), 68 Circular Road, #02-01, 049422, Singapore. Contact: care@qurbo.ai.
By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service for a company, you confirm you can bind that company, and "you" means that company.
1) Eligibility
You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) and able to form a binding contract. You must not use the Service where sanctions or local law prohibit it. You will comply with laws that apply to your QR codes, destinations, and campaigns, including privacy, marketing, and consumer laws.
2) What the Service does
Qurbo generates branded QR codes that encode a link on a Qurbo-operated domain. When someone scans a published code, our redirect service sends them to the destination you configured, and we record analytics for you as described in the Privacy Policy. Plans differ in how many QR codes you can publish, which redirect and routing features you get, and how much analytics you can see (Section 5).
Your testing responsibility. Whether a printed or displayed QR code can be read depends on physical factors outside our control - size, contrast, material, finish, lighting, wear, distance, and the scanning device. You are responsible for testing each QR code in the real conditions where it will be used (final printed size, surface, and the devices your audience uses) before production, distribution, or launch. We do not guarantee that any code is readable in any particular physical or commercial context.
Our routing responsibility. What happens after a successful scan - the redirect to your destination - is ours, and is covered by the routing continuity commitment in Section 6.
Parts of the Service may be beta or limited-access and may change. We do not guarantee specific outcomes (scans, conversions, or analytics completeness).
3) Accounts and security
You must provide accurate account information and keep it current. We may use third-party authentication providers. You are responsible for your credentials, for activity under your account, for managing workspace access for your organization, and for telling us promptly about suspected unauthorized access.
4) Acceptable use
You will not use the Service (or let others use it) to:
- break the law or harm others;
- phish, impersonate, defraud, or mislead - including bait-and-switch redirects or misleading destinations;
- distribute or link to malware or other harmful code;
- spam or violate anti-spam laws;
- probe, bypass, or interfere with the Service's security or operation;
- scrape or programmatically overload the Service or exceed rate limits;
- infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights;
- collect or track personal data unlawfully, including via destinations that need consent you do not have;
- facilitate financial crime or sanctions evasion;
- reverse engineer the Service, except where law forbids that restriction.
We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend accounts or disable specific QR codes and links as described in Sections 6 and 10.
5) Plans, usage, and entitlements
5.1 Plans
Current plans, prices, and limits are shown on our pricing page and at checkout. At launch: Free, Starter, Studio, and Business, on monthly or annual billing. Annual plans are billed upfront. Feature and limit details shown at purchase are part of your agreement.
5.2 Published QR codes (the billing unit)
A QR code is published the first time it is successfully made live at its Qurbo link. Publication consumes one unit from your plan's publication allowance, at the moment of first successful publication, per QR ID. Consumption is final: deleting or deactivating a published code does not return the unit, and unused units do not roll over between service months. Re-publishing the same QR ID (for example after a restore) does not consume a second unit. Monthly allowances reset on your billing anniversary; annual plans receive the full year's allowance upfront.
5.3 The Free plan
Free includes one published QR code per account, for the life of the account - not per month. Before you publish it, we tell you the Free conditions, including:
- Destination editing is open for 1 day after publication. After that the destination locks and becomes read-only (always visible, never hidden). Upgrading to a paid plan unlocks editing on that same QR code permanently.
- The code uses a fixed 302 redirect and standard analytics visibility (Section 5.5).
- The code itself never stops working (Section 6), locked or not.
5.4 Analytics events and metering
Scan and interaction events are metered per workspace per service month (plan limits shown at purchase; at launch 1K / 10K / 100K / 1M). We filter obvious non-customer traffic. We warn you at 80% and 100% of your event limit. At the limit, detailed event recording pauses for the rest of the service month - routing is never affected - and we keep only an aggregate count of post-pause events. Paused detail is not recorded later; we never sample or backfill.
5.5 Analytics retention
Retention is per plan: Free - events visible for 5 days, stored 30 days; Starter - 1 year; Studio - 3 years; Business - 5 years. Upgrading extends retention for surviving events. Downgrading never shortens retention already earned - events keep the retention they were recorded under; visibility follows your current plan. Events past retention, deleted, or over-cap are gone and do not return.
5.6 Redirect features
Never-paid Free codes use a fixed 302 redirect with no expiry. Paid plans can choose 301 or 302 and set link expiry. Geo- and device-based routing rules are available on Studio and Business. Query parameters are forwarded on all plans. Note: 301 responses may be cached by browsers and intermediaries; changing the destination of a 301 link may not take effect for previously-served visitors.
5.7 Changes to plans and prices
We may change plans, features, limits, and prices. Changes apply from your next renewal, not mid-term, unless required sooner for security or legal reasons. If a change materially reduces what your current plan includes, we will give you reasonable advance notice and you may cancel before it takes effect. Improvements (higher limits, longer windows) may apply immediately.
6) Routing continuity - our commitment
Once you publish a QR code, we keep its redirect working: a scan reaches your last configured default destination. This survives subscription cancellation, downgrade, non-payment, entitlement freeze (Section 9), refund, and chargeback. A frozen or Free code degrades in features (no editing, no advanced rules, limited analytics) - it does not go dark.
The only situations in which we will deliberately stop a published code's routing:
1. Abuse or illegal content - violation of Section 4, phishing, malware, or other harm (we may act on the specific codes involved, the account, or both);
2. Legal compulsion - a court order, sanctions requirement, or other legal obligation;
3. Your own action - you delete the QR code, the workspace, or your account;
4. Events outside our control - force majeure, including loss of a redirect domain through registry or legal action we cannot prevent;
5. Service wind-down - if we discontinue the Service or retire a redirect domain, we will give at least 90 days' notice, during which routing continues and you can repoint or migrate your codes.
Free and lapsed-plan codes: we may show a brief Qurbo-branded notice page before continuing to your destination. The destination always remains reachable. Codes on an active paid plan always redirect directly, with no interstitial.
This commitment is about deliberate action, not uptime: availability is covered by Section 12, and outages, maintenance, or third-party failures are not a breach of this section.
7) Fees, billing, and taxes
Prices, billing frequency, and included limits are shown at checkout. Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor; by purchasing you authorize the charges, including renewals. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled (Section 8). Fees exclude taxes unless stated; you are responsible for applicable taxes other than taxes on our income. If a payment fails, Section 9 applies.
8) Cancellation
You can cancel from your billing settings or by emailing care@qurbo.ai from your account email. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period: you keep your plan's features, and any remaining publication allowance, until then. You are not charged again after you cancel. What happens to your codes afterward is Section 9 - never Section 6: routing continues.
9) Grace, freeze, and what "lapsed" means
Failed payment (grace). If a renewal payment fails, we retry and notify you for 7 days. Your plan continues to work during grace.
Entitlement freeze. When paid access ends - after cancellation, failed grace, refund, or chargeback - the affected workspace's paid QR codes enter a frozen state: destination editing, new publications, and advanced routing rules are disabled, and analytics visibility drops to Free-plan terms. Default routing continues per Section 6. Resubscribing unfreezes the same codes - except codes frozen because their subscription was refunded or charged back, which are restored only through support.
Refunds and chargebacks are covered by the Refund & Cancellation Policy, which is part of these Terms. In short: subscription fees are non-refundable except for billing errors and where the law requires otherwise; a refund or successful chargeback freezes the codes tied to the refunded entitlement (routing preserved); chargeback abuse or fraud may lead to account-level action under Section 10.
10) Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, or disable specific codes, if you materially violate these Terms, create risk or harm, or we must by law - subject always to Section 6: even after account termination for non-payment or ordinary cancellation, published codes keep routing unless a Section 6 exception applies. On termination for abuse or illegality, we may disable your codes under Section 6(1). Sections that by their nature survive (payment obligations, the Section 6 wind-down notice, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, governing law) survive termination.
11) Content and intellectual property
Your content. You own what you upload (logos, images, destinations, metadata). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, display, and transmit it solely to provide, secure, and improve the Service. You are responsible for your destinations and for having the rights to everything you upload. QR codes are public by nature - do not encode secrets.
Our IP. The Service, including software and QR-generation methods, is ours or our licensors'. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use it under these Terms. Feedback you send us may be used without restriction or compensation.
12) Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law: the Service is provided "as is" and "as available"; we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement; we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation; analytics are best-effort and may be incomplete or delayed; we are not responsible for third-party destinations or third-party services; and nothing in the Service is legal, tax, or compliance advice.
13) Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits, revenue, goodwill, or data. Qurbo's total liability for all claims is capped at the greater of (a) fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event, or (b) SGD 100. These limits reflect the pricing of the Service and do not apply where the law does not allow them to be limited.
14) Indemnity
You will indemnify Qurbo and its officers, employees, and agents against third-party claims arising from your content, destinations, campaigns, your violation of these Terms or law, or your infringement of others' rights. We may control the defense; you will cooperate.
15) Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Before filing a claim, contact care@qurbo.ai and give us 30 days to resolve it informally. Disputes go to the courts of Singapore, which both parties submit to. Nothing in these Terms removes protections that mandatory law in your country of residence gives you and that cannot be waived by contract.
16) Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post updates with a new "Last updated" date, and give reasonable advance notice of material changes (email or in-product). If a material change reduces your rights - including any weakening of Section 6 - you may cancel before it takes effect; continued use after the effective date is acceptance. We will not weaken Section 6 for QR codes already published.
